MADE “Women of the Word”
Ridge Women Spring Retreat
Psalm 119 talks about hiding God's Word in our hearts and the joy of those who obey God's law. We are made to be women of the Word. The Bible is full of wisdom and truth, but where do you start? Do you ever feel overwhelmed about how to study the Bible? Is memorizing and knowing the Bible really that important? This spring, we invite you to embrace being a woman of God's Word by empowering you to grow in your knowledge of God's Word and ignite a love for the Bible.
Kris Wood is a discipler, a Bible teacher, and a Bible-study advocate. She has a strong love for the Word of God and desires to help others know God and learn to love His word. The first-born of a farmer, a retired Army officer, and a Jesus follower, Kris, and her husband Gary serve as Awana missionaries for West Virginia and Southwest Pennsylvania. As a young woman, Kris embraced the words of Jesus when He said, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
This year’s spring retreat will be held at Summit Bechtel Reserve near Beckley, WV, on April 12-13. This is a time of retreat, to be surrounded by other women, to be encouraged as a daughter of God. On Friday, check-in will begin at 4:30 at the Gene H. Yamagata Lodging, followed by dinner at 6. We will finish up by 4 on Saturday afternoon.
Our lodging options for this year's retreat are hotel-style stays where you can book a room individually or gather your friends to share the fun together. After you fill out the registration form you simply can follow the provided link to Bechtel’s booking website, where you can reserve your stay!
