Whether helping kids learn about Jesus in RidgeKids, welcoming first-time guests, pitching in behind-the-scenes with the audio video team, leading a ridgegroup or helping out with security and parking on Sunday morning, there are plenty of opportunities for you to Plug in and Be the Light here at River Ridge.

Current Serving Opportunities
RidgeKids
The RidgeKids team is an incredible group of people who use their gifts and talents to make it possible to reach hundreds of kids each week with the life-giving message of Jesus Christ. While parents experience their worship service, kids participate in exciting and active environments filled with worship, Bible teaching, and small groups.
Nursery
Our nursery team provides a safe and caring environment for our youngest River Ridgers, while their parents or guardians are in the worship service. Serving commitment is 1-2 times/month during one service.
Current Need: 6 adults

Preschool Small Group Leader
A dedicated team prepares all lessons and materials ahead of time so our preschool small group leaders can focus on teaching our preschoolers the foundational truths that: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Serving commitment is 2 times/month during one service.

RidgeKids Buddies
Our RidgeKids Buddies serve families with special needs kids by providing one-on-one support and attention to any child with particular emotional needs, sensory needs, cognitive or physical abilities so that they can learn how much Jesus loves them! Serving commitment is 2 times/month during one service.
Current Need: 10 adults or high school

K-5th Grade Small Group Leader
A dedicated team prepares all lessons and materials ahead of time so our elementary school small group leaders invest their time into building relationships that point kids into a growing relationship with Jesus. Serving commitment is 2 times/month during one service.
Current Need: 6 Adults (K-3) 4 adults (4th & 5th)

Large Group Host
Each week our host team creates a fun and exciting environment, where they teach kids how to worship God in music and sets the stage for kids to understand the big idea of each week’s lesson. Serving commitment is 1 time/month during both services.
Current Need: 8 adults or teenagers

Registration
Our registration team serves as the face of RidgeKids to our first-time guests – answering any questions the families might have while getting their kids registered into the correct class. Serving commitment is 1 time/month during both services.

RidgeStudents
RidgeStudents is composed of both our middle school ministry (6th-8th grade) and our high school ministry (9th-12th grade). The goal of RidgeStudents at River Ridge is to provide opportunities for students to discover for themselves who Jesus is and establish their own personal relationship with Him. As a part of the RidgeStudents team, you will help create an environment for students to grow their faith and learn what it means to put their trust in God.
Middle School Small Group Leader
Small group leaders invest their time into building relationships that point students into a growing relationship with Jesus. Middle School meets during both services on Sunday Mornings. Small groups are split by grade and gender. Leaders commit to serving three years and will follow their group from 6th-8th Grade. All groups will have a co-leader, so the serving commitment is 2 times/month during one service.

Middle School Large Group Team
Each week the large group team creates a fun and exciting environment for students. They meet regularly to prepare lights, sounds, videos, etc. for the environment. On Sundays, they welcome students into the room, tear down walls through engaging games, lead students into worship, and a large group teacher delivers a message from the current series to setup small group discussions. Serving commitment is 1 time/month during both services.

- 4 greeters

- 1 large group teacher
Ministry Leader: Isaiah Dalton
High School Small Group Leader
Small group leaders invest their time into building relationships that point students into a growing relationship with Jesus. High School meets on Sunday Evenings from 6-8:30PM. Small groups are split by grade and gender. Leaders commit to serving four years and will follow their group from 9th-12th Grade. All groups will have a co-leader, so the serving commitment is 2 times/month.

Guest Services
Chances are the very first interaction you had at River Ridge was with someone from our Guest Services team. Serving in a wide range of areas, the Guest Services team focuses on making all who come to River Ridge feel welcome each Sunday. Whether it’s being on the parking team, being a greeter, preparing the coffee, serving on our security team, or more, the Guest Services team plays a major role in each guest’s experience. Serving commitment is 1 time/month during both services.

Worship, Tech & Audio Visual
Each week a dedicated team of volunteers help to lead us into a time of worshipping our Savior. Whether it’s as a vocalist, a musician, a sound or lighting technician, a camera operator, or more, the Worship/Production team helps create an environment where we can gather together and corporately sing and praise Jesus.
